Tuna Lettuce Wraps Recipe

How do I make lettuce wraps with tuna?

  1. Prep your ingredients: chop some walnuts, dice some celery, and mince some red onions. Peel and chop two hard-boiled eggs.
  2. Open up two cans of tuna, drain off the water, and add the tuna to a bowl.
  3. Add onion, celery, walnuts, lemon juice, mayonnaise, eggs, sea salt, and pepper to the tuna. Stir everything well to combine.
  4. Spoon tuna mixture onto lettuce leaves.
  5. Top with sliced tomatoes and avocados, if you desire.

Absolutely! You can double or even triple the recipe to make multiple meals at a time. 

  1. Mix all the tuna salad ingredients together, except for the walnuts. 
  2. Refrigerate tuna salad in an airtight container for 3-4 days.

  • 10 ounces chunk tuna 2 5-ounce cans, drained
  • ¼ cup finely minced red onion
  • ¼ cup diced celery
  • cup chopped walnuts
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs peeled and chopped
  • Sea salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
  • Bibb lettuce leaves OR Boston or Romaine lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes and avocados optional

Instructions

  1. Hi Wholefully team! I don’t know if it’s just me, but I have been thinking that there were no new posts here in recent months, as the sections of “Recent recipes” don’t seem to be updating. Something in the email that went out yesterday pointed me to a brand new recipe and so I went hunting around and there have been new ones all along, I’ve just missed them! Yay!
