Hello, there!

My name is Cassie, and welcome to Wholefully!

I started Wholefully in 2010 to give me a place to chat about the über-exciting, but admittedly intimidating, world of health and fitness I had recently discovered. Slowly but surely, I got the hang of taking care of my body, and people started to call me an “expert” on the reg. Weird, I know.

Along the way, I also somehow managed to attract a community of hundreds of thousands of like-minded people. You guys just make my heart sing. Thank you for being here.

Nowadays, I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, cookbook author, professional recipe developer, food photographer, and all around believer in the abundant goodness of life.

I will do everything I can to empower you to take charge of your own health and wellness. I’ll show you the tips and tricks I use in my daily life to stay happy and healthy. I’ll keep it real, honest, and always shower you with love and compassion.

What you can expect to find on wholefully

  • Healthy recipes covering the entire healthy eating spectrum.

    You’ll find vegan recipes, paleo recipes, clean eating recipes, and maybe even a cookie recipe (or two). We also teach you how to fit healthy eating into your busy lifestyle through meal prep.

  • An open discussion about self-care and mental health.

    Including my own stories about mental illness, plus the ways I keep my mind and soul happy and healthy (hint: it involves therapy, dog snuggles, and lots of long, hot baths).

  • Encouragement to get outside every day.

    One of the healthiest things you can do for yourself is to get outside everyday. We talk gardening, herbal medicine, foraging, hiking, and many other outdoor topics. We’ll also talk about how to preserve your harvests for winter days.

  • Natural, safe home remedies you can rely on.

    I share with you my favorite all-natural methods for solving common household problems. Yes, you can make your own laundry detergent with stuff you probably already have in your house.

  • Holistic wellness from a personal perspective.

    Health isn’t just about food or medicine, it’s about doing what bring you joy. I’ll be inviting you along as I do the things that bring me joy! Hopefully you’ll find your heart-soaring activities along the way.

  • Uplifting support for your beautiful, glorious body.

    Bodies come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and every single one of those shapes, sizes, and colors can be (and inherently are) healthy, empowered, strong, and beautiful. My goal is for Wholefully to be inclusive, intersectional, and empowering.

meet The Wholefully Team

Wholefully started with just me, myself, and I working on nights and weekends on my laptop, but as our community grew, so did the workload! Now Wholefully is run by an incredible team of inspiring women.

Um, cass, what does wholefully even mean?

Yep, you caught me, wholefully is a totally made up word. The name Wholefully came from a combo of the words wholesome and joyfully—which is pretty much the epitome of how I try to live my life. Because you won’t find it listed in the dictionary, here is my definition of wholefully:

The wholefully approach to wellness combines focusing on wholesome, natural, holistic methods for improving your health all while making sure to live your life joyfully.
