1. Spoiled Glitter Nail Polish
Y’all know I’m a big fan of sparkly nail polish, but one of the biggest annoyances of the stuff (right behind how annoying it is to take off) is that it often takes four or five coats to get a really good, thick coat of sparkles. Not with this stuff! The glitter density (technical term!) is high. They have big glitter and micro glitter versions and both are awesome. The only issue? The brush on these kinda sucks. It’s wide, so if you have tiny nails, you might need to use a different brush. But for $1.99 a pop (at CVS)? I’ll take it.
2. This orange horse.
We bought him from Tuesday Morning this past weekend. Isn’t he amazing? It was such a random thing to round the corner from all the cheesy Christmas decorations and made-for-TV products and see a giant ceramic orange horse looking at you. It was love at first sight. We’re still trying to think of a name for him. Suggestions are welcome.
3. Our reciprocating saw.
Our first tool purchase as new homeowners is this brand spankin’ new reciprocating saw! It’s seriously badass and makes my arms shake like Jello. I think the first time you run out to Lowe’s to buy some power tool should be celebrated as a rite of passage. There should be champagne and cake and balloons and little tool-shaped confetti! More about why we needed to run out to Lowe’s over at The Broken Plow.
We were able to find a nice big box of organic raspberries at Trader Joe’s this past weekend for an insanely cheap price. I want to put them on everything I eat. And swim in them. Mmm, a swimming pool filled with raspberries. Fun and delicious!
5. Seeing my husband so happy.
Since moving, it has been really, really obvious that Babyface is in his element. He has the space, time and resources to work on almost all of the projects he wants to. He gets to see out ideas that before were just…ideas. He’s so happy and it’s so obvious (partially because he says, “I’m so happy.” to me at least once a week). I’m still in adjustment mode (I’ll get there!), but he is perfectly settled and that makes me so happy.
