Ingredients

  • 3 cup broccoli florets about 2 crowns worth
  • 3 cups cauliflower florets about 1 small head worth
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cauliflower, avocado oil, sesame oil, and garlic. Toss to coat.
  • Spread mixture out in one even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Season liberally with salt and pepper.
  • Roast in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning once during cooking time. Veggies are finished when tender and brown. Sprinkle on juice from lemon and the sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • You can make this and our Baked Sticky Chicken Legs on one single baking sheet at the same time. Just create an aluminum foil divider to keep the chicken marinade from mixing with your veggies, and make sure to remove the veggies from the pan before putting the chicken under the broiler.
