Pre-workout, at 4:45 in the morning, I stuffed two dates with peanut butter. Only got to eat one and a half because I dropped the half of the other on our dog-hair covered floor. There is no 5-second rule in our house. Especially with sticky things.
Post-workout a nice, refreshing glass of milk! Scratch that. Why do people call milk refreshing? It is delicious, but refreshing? Not really.
For second breakfast, Yoshi offered me some coconut water, overnight oats with banana and a hard boiled egg. I’m loving overnight oats in small amounts for snacks. So yummy and filling!
For morning snack, I had some mixed nuts and prunes. Which have apparently been re-branded as “dried plums”. Can’t blame the U.S. Prune Board (or whatever they’re called) for wanting a different image than as a laxitive. Prunes or dried plums or whatever they’re called, they are dee-licious!
Lunch was leftover homemade tomato soup (recipe tomorrow), half a PB&J, chocolate and world’s tiniest pear from our CSA last week.
It wasn’t quite ripe yet. After one bite it went into the trash.
Afternoon snack was supposed to be bell pepper strips and guacamole, but instead, it was cake!
There was a retirement party at work and I demolished corner piece of chocolate. This was not my piece of cake. I demolished mine before I ever had a chance to snap a picture. Say “Hi” to my co-worker Jason’s hand. I made him stop so I could take a picture of his cake for WIAW. Because I’m a freak like that.
Dinner was breakfast!
Two scrambled eggs, two slices of bacon, two toast halves, two grapefruit halves. Yum!
