1. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.
I put out an APB on Twitter last week about how I was in desperate need of some industrial strength hand cream and a few of my friends over there chimed in and recommended this stuff. I picked some up and it=amazing. I was putting lotion on 3-4 times a day and now I can put a tiny dab of this on my hands once after a shower and my hands are good until the next shower. Those Norwegians know what they’re talking about. I don’t love all the chemically ingredients, but until I find a natural solution to my painfully dry hands, this stuff works.
2. Mother Earth News.
Mother Earth News is such a crazy good magazine if you are into organic gardening, homesteading, self-sustainability, green living, whole foods, natural healthcare or pretty much anything related to any of those things. Their tagline is “the original guide to living wisely” and I think it’s so true. Their articles aren’t preachy or crazy, but give real practical advice on how to do things like…built a root cellar. And the vast majority of their articles are available online. It’s a winner, winner responsibly raised, local chicken dinner.
Duh. My Hoosiers are 8-0 and looking every bit their #1 ranking. Basketball is way mega fun right now. Especially compared to how unfun it was for a while. If you’re looking for a college basketball bandwagon to jump on, the Indiana one has plenty of room for everyone. Come on over, newbies! We’re good people. And we welcome you (and your dollars) with open arms. We’ll show you how basketball is really done. #BannerUp #IUBB #1UBB #HoosierNation
4. Handmade Holiday.
I am giddy excited about the Handmade Holiday series were doing here and on The Broken Plow. It’s the first time we’ve done any cross-blog content and I love it! It makes me so happy. I hope you guys love it, because nothing would make me happier than to turn it into a yearly tradition. Apron tutorial coming your way this afternoon!
5. Our Christmas Decorations.
Sometimes, I can’t believe this is our house. We are so incredibly fortunate to live where we do and so grateful to my parents for letting us buy this place. I truly believe there are some houses that are “meant” to be Christmas houses, and this is one of them. When the tree is lit and the fire is burning, it’s just so perfect and cozy and warm and full. Love.
