Can you really call them campfires when you aren’t camping? Homefires? Yardfires? I dunno, but whatever you call it, I’ve been loving sitting by our fire pit after a hard day of home improvement work with a good pumpkin beer (Shipyard’s Pumpkinhead pictured above). There have also been copious s’mores. It’s amazing.
2. Greenroom Accordion Folder and Notebook.
I’ve been looking for a nice and organized way to store all the coupons, gift cards, paint swatches, lists and other random things that I require whenever we go out to run errands. I stumbled on this notebook at Target and it is perfect. On the left is an accordion folder which I use to hold all my shopping accoutrements and on the right is a notepad for lists. I just slide the whole thing in my purse and I never have to miss a deal because I forgot my coupons again. Plus, it’s cute. And cute makes me happy.
3. Candy Corn.
So much sugar. So many chemicals. So delicious. So addicting.
4. Aladdin Senja Stainless Steel Travel Mug.
This was another Target score from our last trip. I’ve been drinking my morning coffee in the car out of a not-so-awesome old plastic travel mug that was a gift from one of my clients at work. It held the coffee alright, but it had its problems. It didn’t keep anything warm, the flipper thing that covered the drinking spout was loose so I always had to hold it to drink, and it was 100% made of plastic. I didn’t feel all that comfortable drinking a hot beverage out of unidentified plastic everyday, so I upgraded to this fully-steel model from Aladdin. It keeps my coffee hot. It doesn’t leak or require creative-flipper-holding to drink from. I’m a fan. Oh, and it’s cute. And as we’ve already established, cute makes me happy.
5. Decorating for Fall.
I did some decorating for fall a few days ago, and I had so much fun! Our apartment never really felt decoration-worthy (except at Christmas) but now with a big house, I can’t wait to put seasonal flair up. It is especially fun to decorate a mantle!
