I have no food to show you today. Because after an hour in BMV hell over my dinner time and then an unfortunate incident with a neighbor’s dead car battery, I was too starving to cook or take pictures of the Subway we unceremoniously picked up. At first I thought, “Hey, wouldn’t it be funny to try to make Subway look classy in a photo?” But then I remembered that I was about ready to gnaw my arm off and decided against a photoshoot.
Just in case you are REALLY curious (which I doubt you are), I had a chicken bacon guacamole on wheat. With all the veggies and spicy mustard. And plain chips. And a Diet Coke (first one in probably a year). It was delicious. I think. I’m not really sure I tasted it in the midst of my scarfing.
ANYWHO. I do have something interesting to show you. I came home to find a very tiny squishy envelope in the mail.
My Bondi Bands came! And only two days after I ordered them.
Disclaimer: This is NOT a sponsored post. I bought these beautiful headbands with my own hard-earned money because I have heard such fantastic things about them. Not that I wouldn’t take free swag from Bondi Band. Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.
Look at all those beautiful colors! I ordered 7 different headbands, but there are literally hundreds to choose from! Fun solids, great prints and awesome motivating and kick butt sayings.
But beyond that, they boast them as “no slip” and “no drip” because not only do they not slide up or down (as headbands always do on my noggin) but they are also sweat-wicking. Which is PERFECT for any sort of fitness task.
Time for a fashion show.
There are two different varieties of Bondi Band: light-sweat wicking and heavy-sweat wicking. I ordered both types to try out.
These two are the light sweat-wicking. They are made of one layer of lyrca fabric that allows for super bright and fun prints. If you have extremely soft hair, you may find that these slip. However, I almost ALWAYS have problem with slipping headbands (I think it is the shape of the base of my skull) and I wore this one during my BMV debacle earlier and it didn’t budge. These are perfect for fashion use or low-impact exercise.
These are two of the heavy sweat-wicking bands. These have a more cotton-y(?) top layer and then a slighty grippy layer underneath (not rubber, more like a ribbed fabric).
I LOVE the pages and pages of fun sayings they have in stock. I can’t wait to wear my “Girls Kick Butt” one while lifting free weights with all the muscle-y boys at the gym. And the polka dot one will go with everything. When picking these out, I did try to think of my fitness wardrobe and make sure I got selections that would coordinate.
And two solids. Basic black you can never go wrong with, and a great green that apparently matches the walls of my living room.
The versatility of these suckers is incredible! Fully open to use as a sweat-band.
Folded over to use as more of a fashion band.
Over the ears as a light earwarmer in the cold.
And the best part: regardless of how you wear them, they ain’t moving! I jumped. I danced. I thrashed around like crazy and they didn’t budge. The light-wicking ones are a little slippery, especially when they are folded in half, but still LEAPS AND BOUNDS more secure than any other headband I’ve ever worn.
I have sewn and sold headbands in the past. The business all started because I have a massively large melon and could never find headbands to fit. So I made my own. They were great for fashion, but horrible for working out! They slipped all day long. And I charged $8-$12 a piece for them.
But these are beautiful, no slip, sweatwicking and fit almost any size head for $8 each! What a deal! And if you use the coupon code “FIVE” you get 5 for $25 (making them a measly $5 a piece). Or you can get buy three get one free by using the coupon code “ONE”. Amazing deals! Go pick some up. Now!
I highly. HIGHLY recommend them.
I love them so much that they almost make me want to go run outside in the sweltering heat.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that Bondi Band donates 10% of all of their proceeds to cancer research. Seriously, you have no reason not to go buy some!
