My sister texted me late last week and asked me if I wanted her to pick me any strawberries at the you-pick farm they were headed to on Saturday. I enthusiastically said, “Yes! Lots!” and left it at that. Honestly, I wanted to say, “Tons and tons!” because there are a million things I can do with fresh, local, low-spray strawberries. And my freezer will more than welcome the little red berries packed away in freezer bags.
So when my sister point out this flat to me and said, “All yours!” I got all giddy and excited. Apparently, you can tell we are sisters because our definition of “lots” are very similar. Even though I said “lots”, I expected to only get a few pints, but I was so excited to see this entire tray (for $20 no less)! I have so many fun recipes swirling around in my head.
But first, I must hull. Back tomorrow with the first (of many) strawberry recipes.
