I think one of the biggest keys to successfully eating a healthy diet is to be prepared, and one of the best ways to be prepared is to stock your pantry with clean, healthy, delicious food so it’s ready for you whenever your tummy starts to grumble. Here are my absolute must have pantry staples.
Kirkland Organic Olive Oil
This is a great all-purpose olive oil for using around your kitchen. We drive nearly an hour to go buy it at our local Costco, but it’s also available online through Amazon.
Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
This organic vinegar is a staple in almost every single salad dressing I make. It’s much more flavorful than the off-brand stuff.
Pacific Free Range Chicken Broth
Making your own broth is the way to go, but if you don’t have hours to devote to simmering stock, this broth is a great alternative! I love that it is made from free-range chickens.
Native Forest Coconut Milk
We gave up drinking cow’s milk earlier this year, and I thought it’d be a hard change, but coconut milk has made it easy! We buy this stuff by the case!
Nutiva Organic Coconut Oil
I cook with it. I bake with it. I moisturize with it. I use it as a lip balm. I use it to take off makeup. COCONUT OIL FOR PRESIDENT.
Mary’s Gone Crackers
These vegan, gluten-free seed crackers are perfect for dipping in hummus! They hold up nicely in lunch-boxes, too.
Ian’s Whole Wheat Panko
These thick, hearty breadcrumbs go in almost everything in my kitchen. I love that they are whole grain!
Ezekial Sprouted Grain Pasta
My idea of heaven is a never-ending pasta bowl. To keep it healthy, I stick to this sprouted grain pasta. It’s a little heavy, but delicious!
Bob’s Red Mill Grains & Beans
Bob’s Red Mill is such a great source of a wide variety of organic beans, grains and flours. The quality is always top notch!
Real Salt Sea Salt
Not all salt is created equal! This all-natural sea salt add flavor and nutrients that you won’t find in table salt.
Pacific Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup
This soup is always stashed in our pantry for when we don’t feel like cooking. It’s light enough to eat in the summer, but cozy enough to enjoy in the snow!
Simply Organic Spices
I’ve never been disspointed with a bottle of dried spices from Simply Organic. They are affordable, flavorful, and readily available (plus the jars are cute!).
Pomi Diced Tomatoes
Did you know that most canned tomatoes on the market now are sold in BPA-lined cans? I like these tomatoes because they come in cardboard.
Rodelle Organic Bourbon Vanilla Extract
Good vanilla can make or break your baking! This vanilla is a little pricey, but worth it.
Wild Planet Sustainably-Caught Tuna
We always have a can or two of this tuna kicking around for easy lunches. We love this kind because it’s wild, pole caught tuna
