And tied for 1st…A Christmas Story and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
So far, it has been officially Christmas season for three days, and I’ve already watched Elf, Four Christmases and Love Actually. Still loving Christmas.
Today was moving day!
Well not for me, for my sister. We hit the road early to help schlep boxes and furniture all day. The roads were empty and foggy!
On the road breakfast was a peppermint nonfat mocha and “perfect” oatmeal from Starbucks.
Dear Starbucks: your oatmeal is pretty okay. If you want truly perfect oatmeal, try one of my bowls, k? (Not to toot my own horn, but TOOOOT!)
On the training schedule for today was 40 minutes of crosstraining and strength training. I think moving for 7 hours fills that requirement, don’t you?
My sister and brother-in-law’s new house is beautiful! I am so excited for them. I am not excited about the insane amount of boxes they have to unpack. Phew.
Our box schlepping was rewarded handsomely with pizza.
And the opportunity to drive a giant cargo van.
On our drive home, we discussed what to do about our reward for this week’s training.
We kicked bum and didn’t miss a single workout!
Our original plan was breakfast today after our run, but we had to rearrange some days and were (obviously) moving today.
So instead of breakfast, we ordered Mexican for dinner.
We got veggie fajitas and chicken/shrimp fajitas to share. Look at all these veggies. YUM. They had mushrooms!
These were delicious. And it was so nice to pile up some veggies after a lot of starch over the past few days.
If you are in Bloomington, Ann Arbor, Austin or Madison and have never used Straight 2 Your Door, I highly recommend it! We live outside of the delivery areas for almost every resturant in B-town (other than pizza places) and through S2YD, we can get almost any kind of food delivered.
Back to the salt mines tomorrow, kids. Enjoy your Sunday evening. And GO HORSE!
