You all know by now that my half marathon this weekend didn’t really go as planned. There were so many times I wanted to quit because I was so miserable. But now that I am a few days removed, I am so happy I stuck it through to cross the finish line. Sure, in the moment, I felt completely miserable, but that has since faded from my mind. Quitting would have been something that stuck with me forever. It may not have been a good, pretty or strong race, but it was a race that tested my mental strength (and taught me to pass on running half marathons with a cold). I passed that mental test. And that is something that’ll stick with me forever.
